2008 Northern Forest Partnership Program
The Northern Forest Partnership Program, established in 2004, funds
community-based projects that promote investment and create or
maintain jobs in the region by developing social, cultural, economic
or environmental well-being. The competitive grant program is a
collaboration of the Northern Forest Center, the North
East State Foresters
Association (NEFA) and the USDA
Forest Service.
Funding for the program was made possible by grants from the
Forest Service’s Economic Action Program and the support of U.S.
Senator Judd Gregg of New Hampshire.
In 2008, the grant program is offering $142,000 in funding, with
an application deadline of September 30, 2008. Read
about this year’s grant focus.
Since its inception, the grant program has awarded $456,000
to 55 projects spearheaded by local government, non-profit organizations
and for-profit businesses.
