Governance & Financials

A talented and dedicated Board of Directors provides governance for the Center. Board members come from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, with a few from other New England states. Their expertise ranges from organizational management to forestry to community development to fundraising and more. The Center is proud to be a “Nonprofit Organization in Good Standing” registered with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office.

The Board oversees the Center’s finances, including an annual audit by an independent firm. Financial support for the Center’s mission and programs comes from individuals, foundations, corporations, public funding and program income.

The Center has a strong record of diversifying income sources while providing consistent program services to communities and partners.

Net income for the year includes donations to the Northern Forest Fund, which totaled $3.4 million. This integrated capital fund has supported growth and will help sustain our community revitalization programs for a decade.
