Kendall joined the team in April 2022 to support the Center’s Forest Economy and Regional Leadership programming. She helps advance Feel Good Heat, NNE-PROMISE, and forest stewardship programs – all of which aim to grow markets for innovative wood products and support sustainable forest management. Kendall manages the Center’s data and public policy tracking and is the face behind the biweekly Northern Forest News Digest.
Prior to joining the Center, Kendall completed a B.S. in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability with additional studies in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. During college, her time abroad in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Little Corn Island, Nicaragua encouraged her to seek out a career at the intersection of people and environment.
Through working for the UNH Sustainability Institute and Oyster River Cooperative School District, Kendall gained hands-on experience with high performance building standards, internal carbon pricing research, greenhouse gas inventorying, waste management, and delivery of high-impact student learning.
Kendall is a proud Baltimorean though she has also found a home in quaint New England. In her free time, Kendall enjoys long distance running and hiking. She aspires to climb all 111 peaks 4,000 feet and taller across New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. When not outside, Kendall enjoys exploring local cafés, watching far too many documentaries, tending to her plants, and experimenting in the kitchen.
