Mac Cloyes is Chief of Staff and Policy Director at Blue Forest. As a member of Blue Forest’s Executive Team, Mac leads policy and government affairs, serves as an advisor to the CEO, and manages a portfolio of projects, partnerships, and fundraising relationships.  

He joined Blue Forest in 2021 from the USDA Forest Service, where he helped lead the agency’s President’s budget formulation process, was liaison to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees  and served on a long-term detail with the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations. In addition to serving on the Center’s Board, Mac is a board member at the Sierra Institute For Community and Environment in Northern California. Mac holds a Master’s in Public Administration from New York University and a BS in Forestry from University of Massachusetts.
