Jon Blatchford joined the Northern Forest Center board in 2026 following his retirement from a 35-year career in manufacturing. For the last 25 years, Jon held senior leadership roles with manufacturing companies in northern New England, including seven years as President of a Vermont based wood products company.  These experiences gave him a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing companies operating in the region.

Jon’s connection to northern New England runs deep, having spent time living in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Adirondacks.  He has a strong record of community service, having served on the boards of the Vermont Wood Works Council, Upper Valley Aquatic Center, as well as other nonprofit boards across the region. He currently serves as Board President of a lake association in the Adirondacks.

Jon is a graduate of St. Lawrence University. When not working or spending time with family, you can typically find him skiing, hiking, and biking in the mountains of Vermont or the Adirondacks.
