How to Ride With Gratitude
New comedic social media videos demonstrate ways to show respect on the trails.
The Northern Forest has been abuzz in recent weeks with reports of masked mountain bike etiquette riders springing into action at various Bike Borderlands networks. Wearing black capes embellished with a shimmering Ride With Gratitude logo, these heroes have been reportedly springing into action when seeing behavior that could jeopardize other trail users, riders themselves, and even access to the trail networks so many people enjoy.
Ride With Gratitude, an initiative led by the Northern Forest Center in collaboration with the Bike Borderlands trail networks, seeks to instill a strong code of ethics within the mountain biking community. The campaign calls on riders to respect the gift of mountain biking, care for others, protect nature, and hold each other accountable.
