Ann brings a wealth of experience in environmental grant-making and philanthropy to the Center’s board. She is committed to improving the vitality of our cities and towns to function sustainably for the benefit of people and place. Her work has included effectively deploying resources to renew former industrial cities, managing matching funds, and working to reduce the impact of poor land use decisions on frontline communities, the environment and public health.

Based in Boston, Ann is Director of Programs for The Funders Network where she manages TFN’s working groups and regional networks, staffs the GREEN working group and serves on the Governance Committee and Grant Selection Committee for the Partners for Places grant program.

Previously, Ann is a former partner at GMA Foundations, a philanthropic consulting firm serving charitable foundations and individual donors, where for fifteen years she headed up the firm’s environmental grant-making and consulting practice.  Among her past environmental clients, Ann worked for the Jessie B. Cox Charitable Trust, the Conservation, Food & Health Foundation, the Dolphin Trust, The Elizabeth Ordway Dunn Foundation and the John Merck Fund.

In addition to the Center, Ann serves as a trustee of the Environmental League of Massachusetts. She has a B.A. from Duke University and an M.A. with concentration in environmental policy from Tufts University.
