Jess Griffiths

Vice Chair, Bethlehem, NH

Jess Griffiths is a New Hampshire native who graduated with a BA from Dartmouth College and began her career in northern New Hampshire as a high school English teacher. In 2004 she left teaching to be a stay-at-home mom and to open Woodland Community School, an elementary school she founded with three other mothers.

Later, Jess renovated a dilapidated building in downtown Littleton, NH, on the Ammonoosuc River, a project that won a Plan NH Merit Award, an award for building projects that have positive influences on a community, social responsibility, and/or creative approaches to collaboration and cooperation. That building, 23 Ammonoosuc, proudly houses White Mountain Science, Inc., the Littleton Studio School, and Iyengar Yoga North.

Jess currently holds two more properties on the Ammonoosuc in downtown Littleton and plans to continue her community development work on these sites. Jess loves to collaborate on creative projects from building revitalization to quilts to musical theatre. She is an outdoor enthusiast, is proudly married to Tim Wennrich who owns and operates Meadowstone Farm, and is the mother of three amazing mostly-grown kids.
