In April 2023, the Center purchased 7573 Court Street in Elizabethtown, New York.

Located on what is effectively Elizabethtown’s main street, this vacant 0.58-acre lot offers great potential to enhance Elizabethtown’s downtown. The lot was home to historic Hubbard Hall, a mixed-use building that was a fixture of the community for over a century until a fire destroyed it in 2011. Since that time, the lot has been vacant.

The Center’s short-term plan for the property does not include developing it. However, in the longer term, the Center envisions the potential for a mixed-use commercial/residential building to add much needed housing units, enhance the downtown streetscape, and add momentum to revitalization efforts in Elizabethtown.
