The Adirondack Community Recreation Alliance has announced a new round of grant funding for projects that develop outdoor recreation opportunities in Adirondack communities.
Center staff helped the town of Tupper Lake land a $100,000 grant for improvements to the Tupper Lake Golf Club and for planning improvements to the town's year-round recreation economy.
Since releasing "Attracting New Residents: A Strategy for the Adirondack Park and its Communities" in February, the Center has been putting the strategy’s ideas to work at both the regional and local levels.
The Adirondack Community Recreation Alliance (ACRA) awarded three grants to projects that will enhance recreation amenities to benefit Adirondack communities.
The Center is building on previous success addressing connectivity issues by partnering with a Town-led broadband committee to extend last-mile broadband to more beneficiaries.
