The Center provided $5,000, secured from the RK Mellon Foundation, to support Nordic trail signage at Friends of a Fierce Chase in Monson, Maine.

The Center is making it easier for Northern Forest youth to access outdoor activities by offering grants of $1,500 – $3,000 for a wide range of recreation programs and projects. The application deadline is March 13, 2026. Awards will be announced by or on April 10.

The Center has helped support trail building and local access for youth and adults living in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, a 150-acre mountaintop playground for dog lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, is sporting several major upgrades to its trail network, thanks in part to funding from the Center and its Sustainable VT Trails Program.
